Our continuous research efforts in the field of electrochemical reactor engineering made it possible to effectively scale up our CO₂ electrolyzer technology. Starting out with small scale prototype reactors, we successfully developed the first cell of our 1kW CO₂ electrolyzer stack. Currently this single cell is housing a 200cm² electrode and can operate at a peak power of 200W. At this power rating the electrolyzer cell is using 50A of electrical current to convert 40% of its CO₂ feed into formic acid. In the near future we will increase the capacity of this reactor by expanding the single cell system into a multi-cell electrolyzer stack.
